Bobby on the beat

Yesterday, a theft in progress was reported via the Shop Watch radio by one of the High Street shops. A nearby Neighbourhood Officer on patrol on the high street responded immediately and was quickly joined by a Dog Unit and a Patrol Officer.

The suspect male was detained and was arrested on suspicion of two shop thefts in the town centre and was also wanted on prison recall. He has been taken to Birchin Way Custody where he has been charged with both shop thefts and is now remanded fo court and Prison. 

Today myself and the town ward team are back out and about the Town centre
